A salary verification letter is an official letter issued by an employer on the request of an employee to verify important information related to the employee’s salary. When it comes to work related matters, such as hiring a new employee, verification is always necessary. A salary verification letter is useful in a number of various situations. One such situation include, renting an apartment or a house. This letter is also sometimes asked by the bank in order to approve a loan, mortgage or applying for a credit card.
